just heard or seen—some incident that you have read in the paper, some notable picture that you have seen in a gallery, some recent discovery of science. In one sermon that I often preach, and that has been used of God to the conversion of many, I usually begin by referring to a remarkable picture I once saw in Europe. I start out by saying, “I once saw a picture that made an impression upon my mind that I have never forgotten.” Of course everybody wants to know about that picture. I do not care
